Faithful Emulation of Classic Hardware: Created by guitar players with custom created DSP tools and hand-crafted cabinets and amps. No artificial FX processing.

Unique Step Engine: Save multiple patterns and switch between them on the fly or apply FX processing in a rhythmic pattern. This creates endless customization and unique sound design abilities.

Custom Vector Engine: Automated X/Y grids provides one-of-a-kind creation of drones, soundscapes and melodic textures.

Not Just Cinematic: While most electric guitar instruments focus on a cinematic sound, Continuum Guitars is at home in any genre of music. Perfect for use in country, metal, pop, rock and hip-hop.

Continuum Guitars features an approachable, but powerful GUI with each section clearly laid out. On the sides of the GUI are a set of Master and Dynamics control sections that shape the overall sound of the instrument. A Master Volume, alongside CC-assignable Dynamics fader and HP/LP Filter controls are everything you need to make the diverse sounds of Continuum Guitars sit perfectly in a mix.

Cinematic Electric Guitars VST

DYNAMICS :: Crossfades attack velocities from softer to harder. Mapped by default to the Mod wheel

FILTER MODE SELECTOR :: Select between 4-pole low-pass or a 2-pole high-pass filter with soft saturation. Resonance is pre-set and optimized for each mode. Filters are placed at the end of the signal chain.

FILTER FADER :: Adjusts the filter cutoff frequency. More harmonics (distortion and saturation) added to the sound = more noticeable filter effect.

CC :: Displays assigned MIDI CC number. Click on the box to enable learning mode and move any control on a connected MIDI device to replace with a new assignment.

With over 200 Factory presets, the sonic pallette of Continuum Guitars can be explored quickly and easily. From lush pads and evolving beds, to complex rhythms and musical FX, the Factory Presets have been expertly crafted to get the very best out of this library.

The Presets window also features 40 user-assignable preset slots to save and catalog custom presets and instrument settings.

Clicking 'SAVE' Engages the preset saving mode. Select the User Preset location you want to save to by clicking on it and pressing the RETURN or ENTER key. Rename the preset, and add description text if desired. Click the CONFIRM button to store the preset.

A powerful Sampler Module includes a Sound Source Selector, ADSR controls and options for Reverse, Gridlock and Playback Speed. These controls are used to choose which samples are being triggered and shape how those samples are played back.

Choose between 16 Source sets, transform a sample by reversing playback or warping the speed, unlock amazing performance flexibility using the Grid Lock feature and shape the sound with ADSR controls.

SOURCES :: Opens the sources selection panel.

REVERSE :: Play the chosen source sounds in reverse.

GRID LOCK :: Locks sample playback to bar lines, ensuring performances line up perfectly. When active, a note triggered on the second downbeat of the bar, will begin playback starting from the second downbeat of the triggered sample.

½ - SPEED :: Changes playback to half-speed in relation to the host tempo.

X2 - SPEED :: Changes playback to double-speed in relation to the host tempo.

TRIPLET - SPEED :: Makes the sample speed  behave as triplet 8th notes in relation to the host tempo. This can be used together with the ½ speed control.

ATTACK :: Sets the amount of time a sound takes to reach full volume.

DECAY :: Sets the amount of time a sound takes to decay into the sustain volume level.

SUSTAIN :: Sets the volume a sound maintains when the note is held.

RELEASE :: Sets the amount of time a sound takes to decrease from sustain level to silence.

Selecting the Source button opens the source menu. From this menu, select a starting point for sonic creation. Depending on the source selected, a unique keyboard layout and Sampler Engine will load.

Choose between pattern-based performances, Vector controlled evolving textures or multi-velocity sample sets.

Vector mode is enabled when selecting the "Vector 1-3" sound sources in the Sources panel.

Four performances are arranged at extreme points of the XY axis, defining a point in the XY mixes between them. Movement is achieved by mouse control, automation and key switches.

The Vector module is divided into Lower (blue) and Upper (green) ranges, allowing separate control of volume/blend for each range. Use the lower range for bass drones and the upper range for melodies.

SPLIT :: Displays the note where Lower and Upper regions are split. Click to enable learning mode and press a key for a new split location.

PRESETS :: There are 12 key switch presets (C0 to B0). Presets store XY location and Volume for each module. Switching presets will morph between settings at the user-defined speed.

SPEED :: Controls the morph speed between presets.

Use the DYNAMICS control to crossfade between low and high velocities and create expressive performances.

The Step Engine is an Arpeggiator and Sequencer designed to work with one-shot and looped samples. This engine allows for modulation of Amp and Fx parameters as well as performance flexibility through key switch presets.

Availability of the STEPS module depends on the selected source. Vector 1-3 sources use the Vector Engine.

STEP FADERS :: Set the value for each step. Step values can be set individually, or click+drag through steps. Faders control different parameters in the instrument depending on Steps Mod menu selection.

STEP TIES :: Ties combine step duration. Click + drag also works in these controls. Tying steps together on looped samples leads to interesting musical results.

STEPS MOD MENU :: Selects which parameter to modulate via the step fader values. If a parameter has any value different than the default, it will be indicated as modulating its target with a highlight around the parameter button. Modulation for visible steps is reset by option+click on the main or individual menu buttons. Shift+option+click resets modulation for all parameters.

STEPS :: Sets total number of steps in the loop.

RATE :: Sets note value of each step.

DIRECTION :: Sets playback direction of the module.

STEPS MODE :: Sets playback mode for triggered notes in the arpeggiator. Chord mode makes the arpeggiator polyphonic.

PRESETS :: 12 key switches (C0-B0) allow changing multiple parameters in real-time for powerful and expressive performances.

The Continuum Guitars signal chain starts here, with the Stomp Module. Boosting the output of the Stomp, or selecting different Stomp models will change how the Amp responds, exactly like analog pedals and classic tube amps. Take Continuum Guitars into overdrive and full distortion territory with three classic stompbox models, or mangle the sound completely with the Lo-Fi model.

DISTORTION :: A classic distortion that sounds awesome in all styles of Rock.

SKREAMER :: Overdrive with a mid-boost, smoother than Distortion mode. Great for adding crunch to a clean sound or body and sustain to an overdriven amp model.

CAT :: ‘70s style distortion that covers all the bases from mild overdrive to full-out fuzz. Ideal for Blues and Rock tones.

LOFI :: Adds digital artifacts (quantization noise and aliasing). Great for roughing up sounds. Shifting parameters via the STEPS module creates an interesting dynamic result.

DRIVE :: Overdrives the signal, adding grit to the sound. Distortion becomes deeper and sustain increases.

BITS :: Adjusts signal bit depth. Maximum value preserves full bit depth while decreasing makes it sound like early Samplers, Chiptunes and vintage Arcade sounds.

TONE :: Turning this control up boosts high frequencies giving bite and crisp tone, turning it down makes the sound mellow and warm.

FILTER :: Boosting this high-cut filter will decrease the amount of treble making it sound less harsh. **This has the opposite effect of the TONE control on other STOMP modes.

SAMPLE RATE :: Adjusts signal sample rate. Maximum value preserves original sampling rate, decreasing it creates all kinds of wonderful aliasing artifacts.

OUT :: Adjusts output level. Try adjusting level to interact directly with the AMP module.

Shape the body of your sound with the Amp Module. Each Amp model has a unique character and control set, ranging from saturated and full-bodied to chimey with vibrato controls. There are three available Amp models, and 19 unique cabinets including two rotary modes. Custom Cabinet IRs bring these Amps to life in a way never heard before, lending analog tone and vibe to the sound.

AC BOX :: Classic jangly sound with clear treble and balanced tone. Great for a shiny clean sound. Try the Tremolo effect unique to this model.

PLEXI :: Crunchy tone with gritty tube distortion. Perfect for Classic Rock with a beefy body and edgy character.

HOT SOLO :: Rich, harmonically saturated, high-gain sound for a thick tone. Delivers high-octane drive when volume is turned full-blast.

VOLUME :: Pre-amp gain affecting final perceived loudness and level of amp saturation.

PRESENCE :: Adds high frequency, creating crispness and bite. Makes the sound more cutting and present.

TONE CUT :: Turning up will decrease high frequencies, turning down will add high frequencies. Opposite effect of the PRESENCE knob.

BASS :: Controls the amount of low frequencies, the bottom end of the amp sound.

TREBLE :: Controls the amount of high frequencies making the sound brighter when turned up.

TREMOLO SPEED :: Controls the speed of the Tremolo. Interesting results can be achieved when modulating it through the STEPS module.

TREMOLO DEPTH :: Controls the intensity of the Tremolo, the amplitude modulation applied to the volume.

Choose the amount/size/type of speakers in combination with classic mics. Options include:

1x12” - Standard focused sound, great for small room sounds and articulation

2x12” - Thick tone with more body and punch

4x12” - Heavy sound for all your Hard Rock performances

1x15” - A custom designed, solid wood cab great for its articulation and focus

Rotary - A uniquely styled cab with slow and fast speaker rotation speed options

The Delay Module has five models to choose from, with toggles for Ping-Pong and Reverse modes. This module also features a completely custom filter control that can be set from each end of the spectrum and moved dynamically through the sweep range, giving a massive amount of control over delay tail shaping.

MODERN :: Pristine and transparent. Saturation and filter controls add warmth and color to the sound. Pitch is not affected by changes in delay time.

ANALOG :: Dark and gritty. Repeats become darker, adding noise and distortion to the signal as delay time increases.

TAPE :: Reproduces the mechanism sound of early tape machines. Changing delay time results in smooth, slow transitions between settings and alters the pitch of delay signal.

VINTAGE :: Emulates the sound of early digital units. Increasing delay time causes the sample rate to decrease, introducing audio artifacts.

DIFFUSION :: Produce anything from regular delay to larger-than-life, diffused sounds. A good choice for ambient music and sound design.

MIX :: Adjusts the balance between dry and wet signals.

TIME :: Adjusts delay time in milliseconds or tempo synced to note values.

FEEDBACK :: Increasing feedback adds repeats. High levels create swelling echo repeats up to self-oscillation.

MOD :: Sets depth and speed of modulation, shifting timing and pitch reflections for a wide reverb effect.

FILTER :: Dual control to adjust high cut and low cut of repeats generated by the delay module.

PING PONG :: When enabled, the delay repeats are panned hard left and right in an alternating pattern.

REV :: Reverses direction of delay repeats.

Five unique types and a full set of custom IRs make up this custom reverb module. Reverb is at the heart and soul of any sound design library, and Continuum Guitars leaves nothing to be desired. From lush and massive reverb, to surf-style spring and a reverse modes, all the bases are covered and some brand new ground is opened up for all sorts of sonic discovery.

TIDE :: Supernatural and ambient. This musical reverb provides space-warping drones.

LEXI :: Lush character and spacey, with extra long modulated tails.

PLATE :: Organic, analog and gorgeously dark with dense ambiences.

SPRING :: Typically found in guitar amps, injects an immediately Retro ’60s flavor to a sound.

REVERSE :: Reverse reverb mode.

MIX :: Adjusts the balance between dry and wet signals.

TONE :: Adjusts the level of high and low frequencies in the reverb tail.

TIME :: Adjusts the length of decay. Multiple impulse response samples were taken from each mode, carefully tailored for various time settings.

MOD :: Sets the modulation depth for the reverb tail. A subtle control, which can reduce ringing in the reverb tail and add motion to the sound.
